I am reminded of "the Golden Rule" that I was taught as a child: Matthew 7:12 "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you." Sadly, I don't hear it taught much anymore and I hear far too many "bad" reactions by folks verbally today. This also brings to mind James 3:5-6 "Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell. May the Lord change our hearts that we may stop and think before we speak; not in anger, but based in love. Brian
I became a born again Christan in 1975. I am a Missouri licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor. I was married in 1986. I have 2 sons, 3 stepchildren, and 10 grandchildren. I work in an outpatient behavioral health clinic in the Ozarks.
There are two blogs here that cover different aspects of life and who I am. INSIDE THE SHRINK is a personal look inside the mind of this Christian psychologist. If you've ever wondered what goes on inside the mind of a shrink, here's your opportunity.
DAILY GRACE is a short, Biblical, daily devotional that, by the grace of God, He has inspired me to create and share wherever I can. May the Lord bless you as you read them.

Love this! So true. I've blogged about being pro-active rather than reactive here:

This also made me think of something else I say:
Creativity is 90% perspiration and 10% inspiration. lol
God Bless
Look forward to reading more of your blog.
Reminds me of the book "Love is a Decision"... perhaps by Gary Smalley?
